About Our Comprehensive Programs

Whatever your medical career goals, find the clinical education and professional support to help you get there at Mount Auburn Hospital. Founded in 1886, we are a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. Here, you’ll work closely with our attending physicians and explore your interests and have access to Harvard resources to help you pursue research and other scholarly activities.

As a resident at Mount Auburn Hospital, you’ll have the opportunity to provide comprehensive care. You will hone your critical thinking skills as you care for patients in a holistic manner. From diagnosis to treatment, you will have the support needed to care for your patients. This includes prescribing and providing excellent care and working with our exceptional clinical teams in the inpatient and outpatient setting. Residents in all our programs have gone to work across the nation.

Many teach at Harvard Medical School and are dedicated to training the next generation of physicians and healthcare leaders. They’ll guide you through rotations, support your scholarly activity and act as mentors and career advisors.

Become a Scholar

Explore what interests you. We'll help you get valuable experience for your curriculum vita by completing a scholarly project. You’ll have the opportunity to create a proposal, conduct research and showcase your findings as a Senior Resident at Medical Grand Rounds. And you'll have access to Harvard resources along the way. Examples of scholarly projects conducted by past residents include:

• Case presentation
• Clinical or basic science research project
• De novo literature review or book chapter
• Quality or system improvement initiative
