Here’s what you need to know during your visit or stay if you are a patient, family member or any other hospital visitor.

Living healthy and well depends on having the right team at your side. Mount Auburn Hospital offers you and your family a variety of care options, from primary and emergency care to expert specialty care.

Plan for Your Stay

You may have lots of questions before a hospital stay or procedure. We can help you plan your care. Learn what to expect before, during and after procedures during a hospital stay or same-day visit.

Advance Directives

An advance directive allows you to convey your care wishes or designate someone to make health care decisions for you if you become unable to make choices on your own.

Advance directives — such as a living will or medical power of attorney — cover decisions about: 

  • Administering medicine or CPR
  • Performing surgery
  • Using or stopping life support machines

You can change or cancel your advance directive at any time.

Billing & Financial Assistance

Access billing and insurance resources to pay your bill read a list of insurance plans we accept and learn about financial aid options. You also can find price transparency and other billing policies.

Dining Options

Please note that hospitalized patients must have physician approval to eat any food other than what is served in their rooms.

We provide nutritious patient meals and several menu options for visitors to our cafeteria.

The Mount Auburn Hospital cafeteria offers breakfast, lunch and dinner — plus snacks and coffee — every weekday. Also, our Stanton Café provides breakfast, lunch, coffee and snack items every weekday.

Medical Records

Access, make changes to or request copies of your medical records.

Patient Portal

Manage your health care online with the Mount Auburn MyChart Patient Portal. The portal is a free, secure online resource that gives you easy access to your health records.

Visiting Hours and Policies

Visiting hours are from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm daily. 

As COVID-19 cases have declined and hospitalizations due to COVID-19 remain low, we have returned to more conventional guidance for inpatient visitors and patient escorts in the hospital. Most patients are allowed two visitors at a time. Learn more about our visiting hours and policies.

Tobacco-Free Campus

Mount Auburn Hospital is a tobacco free environment. Smoking and tobacco use of any kind are prohibited on all hospital property, indoors and outdoors. The policy applies to patients, visitors, employees, physicians, contractors and vendors.
