The internal medicine residency year at Mount Auburn Hospital begins on June 23rd each year. We accept 14 categorical and eight preliminary interns each year. Learn more about our internal medicine residency program.

To apply for the internal medicine residency at Mount Auburn Hospital, you must:

Application Requirements

You must complete the following items to apply for our residency program.

  • Common application form
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Medical school transcript
  • Dean's letter
  • Pass the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 1 and Step 2 CK
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine candidates have the option of passing either the USMLE exams or the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX) Level 1 and Level 2 CE exams
  • Personal statement
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Though signaling our program is not required, we do consider it in our initial review of applications
  • International Medical Graduates (IMG) must be certified by the ECFMG
  • J-1 sponsorship through the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) is available
    • We do not sponsor new H1-B visas but have continued pre-existing visas for competitive applicants
