Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Resident Program
Are you motivated to be the best? Share our vision, passion, and tireless work ethic by participating in the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program (PMSR-RRA) at Mount Auburn Hospital.
We offer a fully accredited three-year comprehensive program in which you will focus on developing surgical, academic, and research skills designed to prepare tomorrow’s skilled surgical leaders today.
Develop your proficiencies as a resident and become a skilled surgeon by taking on the challenges of lower limb procedures at one of the most innovative community teaching hospitals in the region. You will join a top-flight team of surgeons here at Mount Auburn - a teaching hospital of the Harvard Medical School, -providing you with significant benefits through a curriculum developed by leaders in the podiatric surgery profession in tandem with noted academic contributions from HMS faculty.
Learn through cutting-edge technology and advanced surgical procedures in a variety of disciplines, including arthroscopic, hind and forefoot reconstruction, trauma and sports medicine, and plastic surgery, to name a few. You will learn from world-class faculty and practitioners who freely share their experiences through academic and practical discourse and application. Residents truly become part of something much greater here at Mount Auburn.
You will be exposed to a variety of settings, including private offices, multi-specialty medical group practices, and hospital-based clinics and, naturally, operating rooms. You will be encouraged to conduct research for publication as part of your training.
Our world-class surgeons are constantly in demand as lecturers at institutions such as the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association. You will also interact freely with a variety of other internal departments, including general, plastic and vascular surgery, internal medicine, and emergency medicine, among others.
We invite you to challenge yourself to see if you have what it takes to become part of our team. As you will see, we offer a truly comprehensive training program which will test not only your intellectual curiosity, but your skill as a podiatric surgeon.
We hope that you will consider pursuing application to our program – and we thank you for your consideration.
