Centralized Residency Interview Program

We participate in the Centralized Residency Interview Program (CRIP) every January. Log onto CASPRweb to learn whether or not you’ve been selected for an interview. If granted an interview, all scheduling is done through CASPR/CRIP on a first come, first served basis.

Your interview is divided into three parts. Preparation should include an extensive review of your notes/textbooks as well as an overview of any practical experience you have .

Familiarize yourself with some of the hospital’s key publications as provided in your interview packet. Our interviews are carefully crafted and involve a three-step process:

  1. Didactic session. Be prepared for a hands-on didactic interview experience with fast-paced rotating stations.
  2. Social session. Residents are encouraged to network among and between other attendees an informal setting.
  3. Formal callback session. Those who make the cut will be invited back for further evaluation and consideration.

Our interviewers are well prepared, fair and challenging. Mount Auburn was recently voted the “Best Interview” nationally by students. You will be challenged both on an intellectual as well as a personal level.

Forms for Match Rankings are open to both students and residency programs in late January. Our diverse selection committee evaluates every interaction members have with students.

Match takes place in March when results are distributed to programs and students instantaneously via CASPRweb. At this point, the CASPR cycle is complete and Mount Auburn Hospital is prepared to welcome you into our family.
