At Mount Auburn Hospital, cancer care takes many forms. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible medical treatment. But we also believe in caring for the whole person, not just your disease. The Herzstein Wellness Center helps us provide this care.
The center offers education and integrative therapies to help you feel your best. These services complement your traditional medical care. For example, these therapies may help you combat fatigue or manage the stresses of treatment. Some services may even make it possible for you to recover from surgery more quickly. Overall, they promote hope and healing and enhance your quality of life.
Because we know that cancer impacts entire families, our activities and services are available to your caregivers, as well. And they’re free for everyone. We’re grateful to the following individuals and organizations for making these services possible: the Sigmund E. We’re always looking for gently used books to fill our lending library. These books are a welcome distraction to patients and their families during long hours in treatment. If you’d like to donate your previously loved books, please email us.

As a cancer patient, I am grateful for the wide range of complementary practices offered at Mount Auburn Hospital. The range of services allowed me to choose an integrative therapy that worked for me, find a supportive community and encouraged self-care. The Wellness Center adds a compassionate element that helps in negotiating the stress of a cancer diagnosis and treatment and provides important resources for post-cancer care.
