Paying Your Healthcare Bill
At Mount Auburn Hospital, you have several ways to pay your healthcare bill.
We make it easy to pay your bill online through our Mount Auburn MyChart Patient Portal account (Learn more about MyChart). We also accept payments by mail or by phone.
We work with you and your insurance company to make the process easy to understand.
If you don’t have insurance, we provide financial assistance as needed.
We believe in price transparency. That’s why we share information about the costs of care with you.
Easy Online Bill Pay
Paying your bill doesn’t have to be complicated. You can use the online option at Mount Auburn MyChart Patient Portal to pay electronically with your checking account or credit card. Mount Auburn Hospital accepts most major credit cards.
The process is simple and secure:
- Log on to your patient portal account.
- Access your billing statement.
- Enter your payment information.
- We’ll credit your payment to your account.
You can also securely pay without a MyChart account by using the Guest Pay feature. You will need to know your Guarantor Account or Visit Account Number which can be found on your statement.
Pay by SMS Text Message Alert
Starting on August 26, 2024, you can pay balances directly from your cell phone without logging into a portal, downloading an app, mailing a check, or making a phone call.
When you have a balance due, you can opt in to receive a text message letting you know. Select the link in the text message to open a secure site where you can see information about your balance as well as pay your balance by entering your payment method (credit card, HSA card, etc.). Complete balance or partial payment options are available. You can also set up a payment plan.

Other Ways to Pay Your Bill
You also can pay your hospital bill by mail, over the phone or in person. Our Cashier’s Office is in the Needham Lobby of our main campus. We accept all major credit cards.
