Diagnostic Testing

Expert care to diagnose various digestive health conditions

Diagnostic Testing To Support Digestive Health

At Mount Auburn Hospital, you have access to the latest diagnostic technologies. These can help detect problems in your digestive tract, including cancer. Referrals are often needed for these procedures. Talk to your doctor if you think a procedure is right for you.

We offer the following diagnostic procedures:

Upper Endoscopy

This procedure examines your upper digestive tract with an endoscope (camera). This includes the esophagus, stomach and part of the small intestine.

Colonoscopy

Colonoscopies are used to examine the lining of your colon, rectum and part of your small intestine.

Endoscopic Ultrasound

This examines your intestinal tract as well as your pancreas, liver and lymph nodes.

Enteroscopy

This procedure allows us to examine your small intestine beyond the reach of a standard endoscope.

Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
Using an endoscope and X-ray imaging, ERCP lets us see inside your pancreas or bile ducts.
Imaging Tests

We partner with our imaging specialists to help diagnose unseen problems in your digestive tract. These tests include CAT/CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasounds and X-rays.
