Traveling outside the United States increases your risk of infection. We work with our Travel Medicine Center to help you travel with confidence. Our staff offers a variety of services, including:
- Follow-up care if you are ill after traveling
- Infection prevention information
- Vaccinations
When To Visit an Infectious Disease Specialist
Your primary care doctor can treat many common infections. They may recommend seeing an infectious disease specialist if:
- Your infection is difficult to diagnose
- You have a high fever
- You do not respond to treatment
