When you're not feeling well, you want answers. The Karl Sorger Clinical Laboratory at Mount Auburn Hospital can give you the test results you need 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our expert pathologists are committed to the highest quality patient care. They use phlebotomy — a blood draw — to diagnose your problem. Our full range of diagnostic services can help your health care provider design a treatment plan just for you.

The Sorger Clinic is accredited by the College of American Pathologists and the American Association of Blood Banks.

Laboratory Services Close To You

We offer inpatient and outpatient laboratory services at our main campus location. But we're also pleased to provide outpatient testing at locations that may be closer to you. You can either drop off a blood sample or access our diagnostic services at one of our four additional locations:

• Arlington Laboratory Drawing Station
• Cambridge Laboratory Drawing Station
• Mount Auburn Hospital South 1 Drawing Station (Main Campus)
• Waltham Laboratory Drawing Station

Laboratory Requirements

We will only perform lab testing if you have official orders from your health care provider. Before coming in for a lab test, you must have one of the following:

• Electronic lab request
• Faxed lab request sent directly to the draw station
• Written lab request

Laboratory Procedures

You do not need an appointment for most laboratory services.
