Our registered dietitians provide you with the highest quality of care. They work closely with physicians, nurses and other allied health professionals to meet your nutritional needs during your stay.
Do you have health concerns that can be improved with a better diet? As an outpatient, you’ll be able to work with one of our nutrition counseling service dietitians. You can schedule outpatient counseling through a referral from your primary care physician, nurse practitioner or Ob/Gyn, or call 617-499-5189.
Your first visit with the outpatient dietitian will take about an hour. It will include a complete nutritional assessment. Any follow-up appointments will be 30 minutes long.
Most insurance policies require a referral from your primary care physician for outpatient nutrition services. We can answer any questions on coverage when you call to make an appointment. Medicare A & B coverage for nutrition counseling for patients with diabetes or chronic kidney disease diagnosis.
