Mount Auburn Hospital Receives Top Quality and Safety Rating from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
Mount Auburn Earns Five-Out-Of-Five-Star Designation From CMS
Cambridge, Mass. – Mount Auburn Hospital has received five-out-of-five stars from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in its annual quality and safety assessment. Less than 10 percent of the over 4,600 hospitals that were assessed received five stars as their Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating.
The Overall Hospital Quality Star rating summarizes a variety of measures across five areas of quality into a single star rating for each hospital. The five measure groups include safety of care, readmission, patient experience, mortality, and timely and effective care.
“A five-star rating is a testament to our team's unwavering commitment to excellence in patient care,” said Ed Huang, MD, president of MAH. “This recognition reflects the dedication, compassion, and expertise that each of our staff brings to the hospital and the community every day. We will continue striving to set the highest standards in healthcare, ensuring that our patients receive the exceptional care they deserve."
This data, found under the CMS Hospital Compare tool, is available for consumers to help them compare performance measure information and make informed decisions about where to go for health care.
